Channel Abyss damage spells to blanket areas with persistent damage effects. Very few monsters resist Abyss damage, giving you coverage in nearly every zone. Combine with Consume buffs from the Demon tree for permanent stat boosts. The DoT playstyle rewards patience — apply your effects and kite while damage ticks. Use Bind Demon to capture useful Super Uniques with Conviction or Fanaticism auras.
Prioritize +Skills gear to boost Abyss damage scaling. Heart of the Oak or Spirit sword for the weapon. Spirit Monarch offhand. Enigma for Teleport. The two-handed weapon passive allows pairing strong two-handed runewords with a Spirit shield for maximum stat coverage.
Strength for gear. Everything else into Vitality.
Act 2 Offensive (Might) with Insight for mana sustain.
