Amazon

A master of the javelin and bow, the Amazon reacts to combat situations with superhuman agility. These warriors originate from the Askari — nomadic bands roaming the islands in the Twin Seas near the Great Ocean. Their culture practices a polytheistic religion emphasizing Order, and their oracles predicted the Dark Exile centuries ago. Only the women serve as warriors, as the Amazons believe female physiology is better suited to the dangers of jungle combat.

The Amazon originates from the Askari warrior culture of the Skovos Isles — a society where combat training begins in childhood. These warriors inhabit the islands in the Twin Seas, near the border of the Great Ocean, where their polytheistic religion emphasizes Order and their oracles predicted the Dark Exile centuries ago. Amazons are much sought after as mercenaries due to their combat expertise and loyalty.

In Diablo II she arrives as a ranged specialist, but the classification undersells her. Her skill trees cover thrown weapons, spears, bows, and a passive layer that strengthens all of them simultaneously, meaning almost any physical attack style benefits from her toolkit rather than requiring a full commitment to one.

Weaknesses

Movement is the Amazon's most consistent limitation. She has no built-in repositioning ability, so run speed is her only option until Teleport becomes available via gear — most commonly Enigma. Her cast frames are slow, which makes Teleport awkward to use even once she has access to it. Builds that cannot afford Enigma are committed to running on foot, which affects how quickly she can clear zones and reset for new runs.
