The Assassin is an agent of the Viz-Jaq'taar, an order formed specifically to hunt down and destroy rogue mages. Her training reflects that purpose: she combines traps and ranged pressure with high-speed melee combat, and her claw weapons let her access skills belonging to other classes. The result is a class that can operate from a safe distance or in close quarters with equal competence, depending on how you build her.

Weaknesses

Build variety is the main constraint. The lightning trap combination is dominant enough that other parts of the tree — most of the Martial Arts skills and several non-lightning traps — do not compete with it at the endgame level. Players who want to explore the full class tend to hit a ceiling where the options narrow down to one or two configurations. This is not a problem if you enjoy the trap playstyle, but it limits the class's long-term build depth relative to others.
