What is DFC?
The Diablo Fighting Championship is a highly organized, competitive Player-vs-Player dueling league and community for Diablo II: Resurrected. The club hosts regularly scheduled, numbered fight cards that are streamed live, with players signing up in advance via Discord. DFC covers both Lord of Destruction legacy mode and the Reign of the Warlock expansion.
HLD Division
High-Level Dueling. Max level characters battle for championship titles and belts.
LLD Division
Low-Level Dueling (Level 30 cap). Precise gearing and skill allocation reign supreme.
Melee Division
Physical damage only. Jab, Fury, Zeal, Concentrate, Feral Rage, Normal Attack.
Match Types
Standard Duels
Traditional 1v1 fights. The core of every fight card.
Team Duels
Multiplayer brawls, typically 4v4 or 3v4. Section 1 HLD rules apply with relaxed restrictions.
Death Matches
Handicapped or asymmetrical matches where one player needs fewer wins to claim victory.
Specialty Bouts
Novelty matches with creative restrictions — like the Din Derby (Charge/normal attack only with gear caps).
Prizes & Rewards

Stream & Event Rules
- All official events have a referee. The referee may award round/match losses at their discretion.
- Title Fights and high-profile matches (wagers, grudge matches, guest stars) MUST happen on stream.
- Obey the referee at all times. If the referee says “STOP”, pause immediately and return to town.
- Visiting stash or vendor after a referee requests a check or says STOP may result in a loss.
- Poor sportsmanship or priding can earn an immediate match loss.
- Players must show their screens via Discord.
- Championship Titles can be forfeited due to inactivity (2 consecutive missed events triggers an Interim Title bout).
- Redistributing prize winnings before event outcomes must be approved by the Event Host.
Basic Rules (All Formats)
- No third-party hacks or mods that give a significant advantage.
- Ultra Widescreens are banned. Aspect ratio must be 16:9 (1920×1080).
- No Hirelings (Mercs).
- Both players must clearly indicate ready before a duel starts (usually “go”).
- Arena must be cleared of monsters and corpses (corpse skills not allowed).
- You cannot intentionally take your opponent’s gold when they die.
- If both players die, both get a Win — unless that win would end the match (then it’s a draw).
- Cross-region matches: played on both servers. Ft4 becomes Ft3 on each server, etc. First server randomly decided. Ties go to Champion Advantage.
- No L8Z’ing (overly defensive/passive play). Players must engage in non-passive attacks regularly. The shorter-range player must push pressure. Camping mana pools, sitting with repetitive attacks, repping without BO, etc. can warrant a round loss.
- Game crash/drop: repair the duel (match HP percentages) or replay the round. If beyond repair, the player who left loses.
- No delayed offensive skills before the duel starts.
- Pre-buffing from stash is banned. Inventory/Cube buffing is okay (not in Melee).
- Pre-buffing includes proc’ing defensive skills (Fade, Chilling Armor).
- Using any shrine granting significant advantage = round loss.
- No re-specing to significantly alter your build once an event has started.
- These are Good-Mannered (GM) duels: no derogatory insults or racially-charged expressions.
- If both players agree to alter rules before a match, those rules become binding.
